The capitalization rules for Title and Version fields in Appendix A are recommended by certain music services but are not required. However, Apple will automatically correct submissions that break these rules regardless of what is submitted to Ingrooves.
Title and Version entries that break the capitalization rules intentionally for artistic purposes are allowed but will be changed by Apple on delivery. They will display in their submitted state at all other services. Examples include:
- ALL CAPS
- all lowercase
- CuStOm CaPs SCHEmes
Title and Version entries that break the capitalization rules unintentionally or for non-artistic reasons, including simple mistakes, will likely be corrected during the quality control process in Submissions.
- “Against The Grain” would be corrected to “Against the Grain”
- “Out At The Pictures” would be corrected to “Out at the Pictures”
- “In My life” would be corrected to “In My Life”
